Mission, Vision, Values

Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, a U.S. married couple who left a successful business and affluent lifestyle to live a life of Christian service. Working with farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan, they developed the concept of helping those in need secure affordable homeownership by enlisting volunteers to work side by side with families to build simple houses where they can raise their children. Habitat for Humanity has long been recognized for its leadership in building homes that are affordable and revitalizing neighborhoods across the country, creating vibrant, and inviting places to live for current and future residents.

our Vision
